Partners was a big shock for me. I always felt isolation was better so people with disabilities wouldn't take teasing and abuse. I view individual plans differently.

My plan of action includes election to the Arc Board and developing closer contact with public officials.

I now have more control in my child's future in school and there's no reason not to speak out about concerns.

I didn't know Adult Basic Education was even possible for my daughter who is currently out of school, unemployed and not receiving any services. Partners taught me a lot; now my daughter has started classes and we both are feeling very hopeful.
