Module 1: Getting Started
Frustrated that their city had no accessible parks for children with disabilities, Heather Marx (right) and Audra Quandt (left) joined forces to convince local policymakers that city parks should be accessible to everyone, then raised more than $500,000 to make the park a reality. Marx used many of the skills that she learned in Partners in Policymaking to make their case and improve their community.
