With proper supports and access to assistive technology, people with developmental disabilities can control their world and be part of their communities. People with developmental disabilities enjoy lives filled with activities that interest them, people they care about and who care about them, independence, meaningful jobs and living arrangements that reflect their preferences as well as support their basic needs.
